Perinatal Death

This two-day course focuses on supporting families experiencing miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, medical termination and newborn death. Healthcare professionals who work with pregnant persons and their loved ones will benefit from this training. Continuing education credits are available for nurses, social workers and chaplains.

Neonatal & Pediatric Death

This two-day course focuses on supporting families experiencing neonatal or pediatric death. Healthcare professionals who work with newborns and children of all ages will benefit from this training. Continuing education credits are available for nurses, social workers and chaplains.

Adult Death

This two-day course focuses on adult death from illness, medical conditions, trauma, suicide, drug overdose and more. Healthcare professionals who work in critical care, hospice, and terminal disease management areas will benefit from this training. Continuing education credits are available for nurses, social workers and chaplains.

Coordinator Training

This one-day leadership-training course equips professionals to standardize a bereavement care model in their organization and sustain it through ongoing education. Topics include leadership development, project management, guiding change, program implementation, quality outcomes, team building and more. Continuing education credits are available for nurses, social workers and chaplains. One or more RTS bereavement trainings must be completed prior to attending this course.

Online modules

Our bereavement modules are user-friendly and interactive. Courses include Communicating with the Bereaved, Memory-Making and Ritual and Guided Participation: A Method of Teaching and Learning. Continuing education is available for nurses, social workers and chaplains.
